Svaha is a personal matchmaking service for expats — people building a life away from their home country. We run interviews, search for people who fit your request, speak to each of them personally before an introduction, and help arrange a meeting. The service is operated by SVAXA LIMITED, Company Number 15981646, 167-169 Great Portland Street, London (“we”, “Svaha”).
By using the site and the service, you agree to these terms. The service is available only to people aged 18 and over.
The service is paid, and the fees are the same for every client regardless of gender.
Step 1 — interview and registration, £180. Includes: signing the contract (which also contains the confidentiality obligations — no separate document is needed), an in-depth interview (60–90 minutes), a document describing your request in detail, a short questionnaire, and registration of your detailed profile in our private client database. This payment covers the interview and the work on your profile; once those are delivered it is non-refundable. If you cancel before the interview takes place, we refund the £180 in full.
Step 2 — introductions package, £300. We search for and present people matched to your request until the first Date takes place, and in any event no more than three introductions.
An introduction means presenting a person matched to your request whom we have spoken to personally beforehand and who has confirmed they are willing to meet you. An introduction is counted when we show you their profile, whether or not you express interest.
If a Date takes place on the first or second introduction, the package is complete and the remaining introductions are not delivered. You are paying to meet someone, not for a number of profiles.
Besides clients, the matching process also involves people we find through targeted outreach and who send us their profile. For them participation is free: the profile, inclusion in the database, and arranging an introduction are not charged. No separate documents are needed — consent to process the data is given within the profile itself. You can leave the database and ask us to delete your data at any time.
The package is valid for 9 months from the date of payment. The period is suspended for as long as you freeze the process.
If no Date takes place within that period, we refund £100 for each introduction not delivered. If no introduction was delivered at all, we refund the full package fee of £300.
If a Date has taken place, the package is complete and no refund arises for the remaining introductions.
If a person we present does not meet an essential criterion from your request, the introduction is not counted and we provide a replacement free of charge. You need to tell us within five working days of the introduction, or, where a Date takes place, within five working days of the Date. A replacement is the only remedy on this ground; no refund arises.
If you stop the process yourself before the end of the period, the remaining introductions are not refunded.
You may cancel the agreement within 14 days of signing, without giving a reason. We retain £180 for the interview already conducted and £100 for each introduction delivered, and refund the balance. The right to cancel is lost once the service has been fully performed, which includes where a Date has taken place.
The £180 interview fee is not refunded once the interview has taken place. If you cancel before the interview, it is refunded in full.
We cannot guarantee that mutual attraction or a relationship will develop. We guarantee our work: matching against your request, a personal conversation with each person before an introduction, and taking your feedback into account. We do not carry out criminal record, credit or other background checks, and we do not independently verify the truth of what a person tells us about themselves. You can change your request and preferences at any time — we continue the search with all of that in mind.
We reserve the right to suspend the service if these obligations are breached.
All of our work is strictly confidential. The database is private. Everyone is bound by confidentiality obligations: for clients they are part of the contract; for people who send us a profile they are part of these Terms, accepted when the profile is submitted. During the search we describe your request anonymously, and we reveal your identity only to those bound by such an obligation. Other matchmakers sign a separate non-disclosure agreement if the search runs through them.
We introduce people and help arrange a meeting, but we are not responsible for the behaviour and actions of third parties before, during, or after a meeting. Our total liability under the agreement is limited to the amount you have actually paid us.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. We may update the terms; the current version is always published on this page.

The site does not use its own cookies or trackers. To display fonts, the page requests them from Google Fonts servers — in doing so Google receives your IP address.
Enquiry data — while we are handling your request. Profiles — for as long as you want to stay in the database; we delete them on first request. Retention periods for clients' data are set out in the separate client policy.
You can request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restrict processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO). To do so, write to info@svaha.ltd.
